Glossy magazines and TV shows and movies
full of handsome and beautiful gay people.
Some of these people are so beautiful, I can’t look away.
And why would I want to look away?
But we live in a culture that often has a very narrow and limited idea of beauty.
And if we’re not careful, we can get conned into believing that definition applies to us.
You came here to be who *you* are.
You didn’t come here to be Portia De Rossi or Matt Bomer.
Beauty, real beauty, shines from the inside.
That’s what the person who loves you sees everyday,
not just when you look your best.
That’s why they say Love is Blind.
Not because it overlooks the ordinary, but because it knows true beauty.
You only have to google gay marriage to see what real beauty looks like.
Look at those faces and smiles. This is your community.
Real people, real values, real lives and accomplishments.
Real love.
And there’s no shortage.
Happy loving faces and bright shiny eyes.
This is what love looks like.
Be who you came to be.
You don’t need a personal trainer and a make-up artist to find true love.
Real people are doing it every day.
